Every radio has reverse. It's the ESC's that don't all have it. The racing ESC's do not have reverse but all of the general ones or crawling specific ones do.

I bought both my Spektrum radios in the classifieds here at RCCrawler. Less than $100 each. Keep an eye out.

I have yet to see a radio without reverse...

Only "reverse-less" thing I've seen has been a racing specific ESC...

There are no hobby grade 2-channel stick radios that I know of that don't have a reverse or brake function. Its just the opposite charge of the axis for the throttle. You have a better chance finding a radio that can only turn right and doesn't come with right turn capability. Its the same thing. Its just two channels/axis and they both have a positive and a negative. If you wanted, you could make any hobby grade pistol radio steer with the throttle and do forward and reverse with the steering wheel. The only part that you need to watch out for when it comes to having reverse or not is the speed control. Top line racing ESC's do not have reverse on them for two reasons: you lower the resistance with less features, and its illigal to reverse during a race, because you reverse onto the track where people are still going forward and it just causes car breaking crashes. Just make sure your ESC has reverse. Here is my suggestion though. I have seen the inards of the RC4WD radio and its kinda sketchy, being an electrical engineer. It might look loads cheaper, but the inards are quality Futaba guts.

maybe he is thinking of reversing the servos...not steering to throttle..but from left/right to right/left????

If you are talking about a radio that will allow you to drive the vehicle in reverse, all hobby grade radios and recivers do.

Its the ESC's that dont allow reversing.

However if your wanting to know if the radio itself will allow reversing of the signal, then in that case, Almost all hobby grade radios will do so.

"It," meaning, your car/truck? Yes. You'll need a servo to turn the wheels left/right. The servo plugs into the Rx (receiver).

It's not a surface radio and it doesn't look like it's available for surface use either and those servos that come with it are gonna be useless for steering a crawler.
