Default BEC questions

Whats the major benefits of using a bec? and how do you wire it in to your truck?

it allows you to run 2 servos strong and a motor without a servo or motor pooping out and glitching.



you'll need one if you are going to do any serious comps with a dig unit.

oh ok I am running a scaler with two digital servos and a tekin 45t on a rooster crawler I might put it on depending on how it runs with the lipos I ordered (2cell 2800mah 30c)

The BEC is supplying power to the RX and servo so that your ESC has it's own power. You can set the BEC voltage to what you want. Thus allowing your servo to make more torque! You don't really need a BEC for a scaler but it never hurts

ok I was just wondering because the scaler i have used to have a bec hooked into the steering servo then to the rx I guess he had it set up just to have extra power to the steering?

It can be hooked up that way also. The BEC would have been wired to the servo and the signal wire from the servo to the RX. Thus leaving the ESC to power the RX.

Even in my scalers I've found adding an external bec was well worth the extra little it of cash
