Default SCX-10 Driveshafts

What's the trick to getting the yokes into these things? I have the thing assembled short of the drive shafts and bead locks (my 1.5mm hex driver stripped, new ones are on their way with the electronics). There has to be some trick other than just putting pede shafts on these.

Place the plastic driveshafts into HOT water for a minute, they will go on like butter.
