Default Setting up my first crawler

I'm pretty new to the whole R/C sport and need some advice. I bought an Axial AX10 kit and Novak Rooster Crawler/55T motor combo (Being shipped now). I was planning on using a Traxxas TQ-2 Tx and 2215 Rx, but I keep seeing posts about not mixing digital with analog. I am assuming the Traxxas system is analog?
Since I blew most of my meager budget on the AX10 and ESC/motor I don't have much to spend on a radio system ($125 max). What would be a decent system you would recommend?

Default Research

Okay, so I did some more research (should've done it before posting) and it appears the TQ-2 is in fact a digital unit. I would still like advice on a better radio system though. One with EPA's to keep from frying the servo.

I use this one with my axial. Works great, fits your budget and has a 3rd channel for when you decide to get a dig unit.
