I like the red, and the panels.

That'd be the other way around, I believe, but yeah, definitely.

doesn't look to bad! A little creativity and some elbow grease and BAM! I think it has possibilities. But I think I would be tempted to make the links equal length.

Why won't the tranny fit? Is the chassis just to narrow?

whats your current wheelbase? IMO... shorten the rear links considerably - bring her to about a 12" wheelbase. You may also want to bend your links at 1/2 way down so they are flat most the way back to the axle then come down to the link mounts, this will increase your ground clearence and you will not hang up on your links as much. Consider a Droop setup, to do so, take the shocks apart, remove the external spring and install internal springs (externals from a mini T) and that will lower it alot - giving you a droop setup. If you dont like the droop idea - consider that you have yet to fit the tranny, motor, esc, battery.. all that mounted up will weigh her down and soften her up a little. your shocks should also be mounted at about a 45 to 60 degree angle for best performance. you can run them more verticle if you like but i suggest a lighter spring if the red ones are too stiff... The first rig you build like this will cause you the biggest headache. Build it so it fits comp rules and everything will fall together. once you have it built to your likings, learn how to drive it - i have seen one too many guys get frustrated at thier rig cause they keep messing with it. build it and learn how to drive it. Keep up the good work and feel free to ask any questions.

another side note, Different wheels and tires will make a world of difference. The stock tlt wheels will work, but - well.. you will see what i mean.

Ebay - losi mini crawler wheels are about $20 for a set of 4 and they come mounted with 1.9 losi mini claws.. awesome tires to start out with! They couch crawl awesome!

the mini crawler is a 1.9, I would be more inclined to go with a 2.2 wheel.

yea i put the stock wheels on just to get a genreal idea of what it looks like. also my wheelsbase is already at 12 and a half inches so if i extended the front it would be to long.

in that case I would make the links equal in length.

Also you said earlier that the springs were to stiff, lots of guys on here use the front springs off of the losi xxx-T (orange or silver springs) haven't tried it myself.

The driveshafts are usually not in line with the pinion on the axle on any crawler here is a pic of my AX-10 in the pic you can see how the driveshafts angle towards the right side of the truck they don't have to be in line with each other.

a wheelie king transmission might work, I think stock they are a little tall but its real narrow! Try to find some dimensions before you buy anything.

how wide is your chassis?

will an R2 tranny work? It measures in at 2.75" wide.

I would bite the bullet on the R2 I got mine for $70 with dig and it's built to last!

just my preference though. Its all up to you!
