Default Dual ESC questions.

Planning a Bully rig.

Will probably be running 45T brushed.

I have 2 Mamba Max's at my disposal. Would there be any benefit to using both in this setup, or will a single one and a Punk dig switch work just as well?

Also, if running dual ESC's, I'm assuming you're running 2 batteries as well?

It doesn't look like anyone has answered this question and as it turns out, I have this similar question.

I am ordering a bully rig and plan on running dual esc's with two 45t brushed motors. My question is, what would be the best esc's to buy and can I run two esc's off of one battery? I will be running this setup with a 4pk. also, will I need to run a bec with this setup?

You'll only need one battery, but make sure it's very high C rating. The BEC is gonna depend on what ESC's you run, with HH BR-XL's you can power the servo with one and the rx with the other, anything else and you'll need a BEC. I'd probably run BR-XL's and a high C 4s pack.

There advantage of duals is having a radio that will control them properly (4pk or sticks). Yes ya can run two esc off one battery.

I'm running dual Sidewinders in my Clod with a DX6i... Each is pushing a 35T Integy lathe motor.. I run a CC BEC on a much smaller 2S as well, so, there's no worries about which does what and all that.. I run a single pack.. A 2S 6200 LiPo... Both ESC's are set for auto cut-off and both will cut-off together when the pack gets down... Dual ESC's are, IMHO, the best way to go with a MOA rig... When Clod stall happens, you can kick a bit extra in the rear and off ya go... Et voila... No Clod stall...

I run dual Tekin FX-R's off one 1000 mAh 30c 3 cell battery with a CC BEC wired directly to one of the Tekin's. I use the Futaba 4pk as do most. You can just run a jumper between the two esc's so they share power from a single battery. You won't realize the full benefit of dual esc's without a 4ch radio like the Futaba 4pk or stick. Most run dual Tekin's because they are so small.

Check out how Redneck21 wired his truck using dual FX-R's and one battery.

Red's Rockshow Moonbuggy build...

The big problem with the 3pk and duals is ya can't have rear dig on the trigger and ya can't control front mix %. But yes ya can use the 3pk and duals. Front dig and rear mix % work great.
