Default Noob Crawler, which one?

ME = Total noob to crawling, i dont really plan on doing any comps but i would like to be able to crawl steep comp. areas, i have 3 other buddies who just bought crawlers (ax10, 2x druatrax) and now i have to 1 up them lol!

Budget = $300 or under (cheaper the better)

Radio = Spectrum dx2.0 (i well need another receiver)

Batteries = 2x 2s Lipos (i prefer a ESC with a lipo cutoff for a obvious reasons)

ESC/Engine = I have no idea what to get

Crawlers = Venom Creeper/Losi Comp/Axial AX10

I really like the Venom but i have a feeling i well be way over my budget as well as the LOSI. AX10 seems like the obvious choice but for that specific reason i makes me want it even less. so my biggest questions is..

Can i get a competitve Venom Creeper under my budget, rtr with my current radio/betteies. Otherwise any suggestions?

Thanks!
-Another Noob

i say go with the creeper. Only thing i have ever broken were a few rod ends, and after ALOT of abuse my front driveshaft is starting to give up. Throw the same amount of money at a creeper, and an AX10. i bet you would have a much more capable creeper.

Only must haves for the creeper are tires. Throw some Panthers or Rovers on there, Along with a few simple cheap mods and she's good to go. But this is only my .02
