Default Want to build an AX10 Need parts advice.

I have an AX10 kit on the way. This will be my start.

My goals are to have a fun reliable car that I can play with (I have no desire to do comps at this time). I would like to build with proven parts that will work well together. This way I can spend more time playing than fixing.

After researching for a while I have decided I want to set it up with a brushless motor, and a lipo battery. No rear steer or dig stuff at this time.

So here is what I am thinking.

CKRC Stage 2 skid and Suspension W/ the bent links.

For the Motor and ESC I like the looks of the 3019 Novak Goat Crawler System (unless there is a cheaper combo that is beter than this).

For steering servo I am totally up in the air. Have no idea what is good. Would like to be able to add an aluminum arm to it.

Receiver am also up in the air. Was looking at a 3 channel but again not sure what is good.

Lipo batteries are new to me so I know nothing about them but like how long they last and their size. What size would I need to power all this and what chargers are available for them?

Also can I power the receiver and the motor from the same battery pack or do they need separate?

I am more of a Nitro Guy so the electric is new to me.

go to rc4wd and get some strong metal driveshafts or you can use traxxas pede shafts. the stocl axial shaft will twist really easy.
