I see 4 mistakes already: Nitro for a newbie Nitro for a crawler XTM product $AU800= $US600. they're $US400 here without even looking for a bargain. But I understand things are more expensive Down Unda. IMHO, this has "bad idea" written all over it. Good luck if you decide to go ahead with it. I think you're better off ordering a Clod and waiting for it. 5 cents please. |

yer i know where you are all coming from but gearing i have already researched and i can get it real slow like. Also i have a cheap electric what battries do you recommend to use for long run time. but i think i will go ahead with this anyways i wat to try anyway if its a no go i can always just change back to a stadium truck and race it. (if that happens clod will be in the mail next week.) thanks all.

Even if you can gear it to be as slow as an electric crawler, that doesn't mean it will perform like one. Slow speed alone doesn't equal more torque - you will still have issues with the clutch slipping, and the independent suspension will limit it's capability as well. But if you really want to do it, hey - go for it. It is just that the issue of Nitro Crawlers has been re-hashed over and over, and people are really just trying to stop you from being disappointed.

| http://www.globalhobby.com/public/xt...ery/145641.asp Same brand as the mammoth, but it`s a very capable off roader, where I`d say that the mammoth is more of a racer. (See sig., I have one.) |

Not too sure, my pullstart is also screwy and it has a broken string, I`m just getting a new one.
