Default Dropping the NC transmission into the LCC?

Has anyone swapped out the Losi Comp Crawler transmission with the Losi Night Crawler? Could two people do a one for one swap, or do you need extra parts? How does the direct drive in the NC compare to the LCC? The reason I ask is because I bought the LCC to be one unstoppable 4X4. I do not plan on ever using the dig or going to a comp. There were definitely cheaper rigs out there but the LCC seemed to be the most capable.

Just leave the LCC dig in 4wd. Don't think there would be any reason to swap it for the NC Transmission.

Yeah, swapping the trans seems like more of a hassle. I would just lock out the shifting arm and remove the servo.

Both are good points. Thank you. I'll just leave it and save some hassle.

I was just reading some other posts and someone said the LCC transmiission sucks up more power along with the worms, shortening run time. Would the direct drive be more efficient and provide longer runs? If it could do that I would definitely switch.

It can be done without any problems, you will have to rotate the skid plate 180 or reverse your motor rotation if you can so it drives the right direction. I swapped the stock trans out of my Night Crawler for a Comp Dig. They are right that there is more drag on the CC than the NC so the NC will give you more run time. The drive shafts and everything else should work just fine though.
