I think this is the right thread section to put this in.. Anyway Does anyone know about the new Losi Night Crawler? Any Pro's or con's? ANy other crawler i should look for, i saw this crawler at the rc shop today, and like it, just wanted your guy's opinions on this and the LCC. I've had two ax10's, one stock, and one pretty modified and just lookin for something else. Thanks in advanced! |

A guy had one at the Comp last weekend, he had bought it the night before; his friend had bought an Axial RTC as well. Between the two the Losi was the better starter rig, but I was really surprised by the amount of torque-twist it had.

The night crawler is a more "get started" crawler. the comp crawler, I believe has more metal, and is "more" business related. No fancy lights. You will have to add all the electronics to the comp crawler.

I drove a friends custom axial for a few comps then bought my own rig, I got the NC and love it but to be honest the steering servo and motor that come with it are weak, they work but not well enough to be truly comp ready. I upgraded both items and the thing is more than able now. I have since also installed the Comp dig trans in mine so it's essentially a Night Comp Crawler if you will. If you think your going to get serious about RC Crawling and you have money to spend you'd be better off in the long run by buying the Comp Crawler It'll save you some money in the long run, but if your on a budget and want to get into it, the the Night Crawler will do you just fine. Both platforms are winners! It just depends on how much you want to spend starting off. Larry |

The night crawler seems a little "gimmicky" with its fancy lights and whatnot. Go with something a little more serious and get the comp crawler. Add the useless lights if you really want them. |

Then the Night Crawler is the way to go. Either way, what ever floats your boat is what works best. |

for get that lipo, way too expensive. these are fantasic lipo's i run the 3s version of this http://www.rcdude.com/servlet/the-13...X--dsh-/Detail they can also be charged at up to 5 amps, but that shortens the batteries life. i personally use the hyperion 606i ac/dc charger and have never looked at anything else since. a good charger is one of the best over all investments you can make in the rc hobby. i always suggest eventually investing in a good charger and remote/receiver if you enjoy the rc hobby. it helps eliminate a lot of problems. for example i have easiy gone through 10 rc's in the last year and own everything from 1/36 losi micro dt to my 1/10th crawler and i use the same charger for everything. same for my remote i always go to a spektrum 2.4ghz remote because it completely eliminates any glitching problems you could ever have |

i have no idea about them having good motors/esc's i suggest getting those from a good crawler company like holmes hobbies. but the charger you showed should work fine but it cant be plugged into the wall unless you also buy a power supply. that charger is made to work off 12v like a car battery, which is why it needs the power supply.
