I have both. Stick radios, as you know, have more channels. On a dual motor crawler, you can set up two ESCs and control them individually with a stick radio. That cannot be done with most pistol grip radios...

Is the TX for the heli FM or 2.4? If it is 2.4 stick with that!

Sticks allow individual control of front and rear esc and front and rear steering (if ya got that). I can't work sticks so I got a 4pk that allows alot of the same control with a wheel. I'm thinking of trying sticks again. :?

I have a Traxxas pistol grip and for me I like them because it's more natural for me to use a wheel.... Stick controillers screw me up. LOL!

I have both. I really only have the DX6 because I built a super as my first crawler. I wanted the multiple channels for rear steer and possible dual ESC's down the road. I have gotten used to using the stick for almost every one of my rigs...except the "go fast" ones. I think the pistol feels more natural when running the faster cars...stick feels a bit cumbersome.

Only other reason I used the DX6 so often for quite some time is also due to it being the 2.4 DSM technology. I liked not having to worry about crystals...and a long antenna on the rig. Also the RX was really tiny compared to the crystal radios I had. Now that 2.4 is a pretty cheap buy on some 2 & 3 channel pistols...it wouldn't be as one sided toward the air radio.

I use both, you can do a lot to a 4ch stick radio if you know how to change things around a bit. (On the Tx.) I like the sticks cuz my first RC veh I bought a stick. For fast vehicles, I prefer the wheel. Gives a little more natural instinct to actual driving for me.

I run the 3PK. Same mixing features as the 4 PK only 1 less channel. I can program and trim both motors on the fly as well as program any set of switches for 3 position dig. The wheel is just natural for me when running a wheeled vehicle.
