Getting into RC crawlers as I travel for work and the hotels do not like me to keep my Samurai in the room with me. Or rock crawl in the landscaping :-( Was sent here by a couple of your members who may wish to remain nameless as they know me Only rc I have now is a (broken) 1/6 Nylint. OK bash away but it was fun while it lasted. Looking at a Night Crawler right now unless I can find a good used rig. Hi everyone |

I'm in north central WV, near Morgantown. I can see these are addicting. I have the same issue with mountain bikes and Suzuki Samurais.

Ran it about 45 minutes last night, until the battery was done. Think the steering servo is weak. Not sure about the tires yet. May go softer, have to run it more to really get a good idea. I know I need to get some BBs in the tires, they may work better then After that, run, break. upgrade and repeat. Same as my Samurai. |

hey man dont use bb's instead try going to walmart and getting about 6 sticks of the stick on lead weights. they probably wont charge you for them. they fit perfect inside the wheels. and while you have the beads off throw on some rovers. you definatley need another servo run what you got as long as you can. and start saving. when you change the servo go with 300+oz of torque and a bec.install alum. colars and knuckles when you do. dont use cvd's the dog bones are more durable.also go for a high clearance stearing link or go bta. when your motor craps out get a tekin combo 45-55t when you get tired of all the glitches you can find a used losi mrc radio and reciever for around $30-50 and when you get around to your chassis buy with links. go lipo it will help your driving alot by lowering your cg have fun with it,and it is a money pit I have 4 2.2's and 2 1.9's and well over $5,000 down the drain single best upgrade for me was lipo |

About how many ounces per tire? I have many money pits, the Samurai was $600 to buy and much more since. It's ugly but I beat it around in the woods so I have not worried about paint yet. I have thousands of dollars in bicycles. That is my main hobby/obsession. Also a decent home theater system. Gots to love new toys |

I used to like the night crawler . It is a nice truck . I was turned off by the fact that you will need to change your trans over to a losi comp crawler if you want a dig . And i know i will want a dig . If you ever what to get serious then you need one . and with some of the problems people have been having with the lcc (not to many problems but enough) I have chose to go with a berg for my 2.2 ,there motor on axle setup takes care of all the problems the lcc has and a dig is so ez to hook up on a MOA . If your gonna spend the money (and your gonna spend it anyway) then check out a berg or kyosho kockforce or lcc.

and if you are that into your bikes you should have a dig. scale. my wifes axial=front 16oz mounted, rear no weight added my sons axial=front 14oz mounted, rear none added my wife is running cougars, they seem to need a little more weight on them to get thier grip. my son is running rovers and they hook up the best on the most surfaces. | |

I was thinking about the stinky 24" for my son but for now it is just street and park.until I get my nerves back. it took a good 6 months to get over my broken tail bone. my son is 9 and the stinky is mostly a d.h. there isnt alot of options for quality youth rides.I would prefere a lighter 24"mountain for him with around 4"of travel on both ends. couldnt find what I wanted but the kona was close. thats why I stuck with bmx street and park I had to drop 900 on a fram.to get what I wanted though. I bought the best 18" complete I could buy and when it came in it wieghed 30lbs? with pegs and brakes, the fork alone was 42oz. now his ride is 22-23lbs pegs and brakes all the way around. are you getting your son into crawling to I guess? |

Yep, and into full scale rigs. Looking for a Tracker or Samurai for him. My 12 year old daughter has been riding Canaan Valley, WV singletrack since she was 8 just like my son. It is funny to be a couple miles out on a trail and run across folks when you have a little girl on a 20" wheel bike and 7 gears on the back riding with you She helps me on my Samurai more than my son. I taught her to weld with the MIG last year We have over a dozen bikes at the house, my son has just flat worn his out. He has been riding my old daul suspension GT, but is wanting a new hard tail. |
