Default mini lst crawler?

Im new to RC's and after 3 broken nylint 1/18's I decided to buy something with some better hardware. I decided that I would mod an RTR since It seems a bit easier. I bought a losi mini lst with the hopes of making it a crawler (i now realize it may have been a bad idea). It has an independent suspension unfortunately, but from what i hear the hardware is pretty good.. The biggest problems i see so far are that the diffs are not locked, and that the gearing is too high, and that the shocks are too short. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i might lock the diffs (i havent found a spool for it anywhere) and get some travel out of this thing? I was thinking if I cant make this lst work for me, ill use the electronics and some of the running gear to make a custom rig.

later
Rich

Eclipse (a buddy of mine) has been working on designing a conversion kit similar to what people use on maxx crawlers. This involves locking out the axles and 4 linking them.

WOW this one will be fun lol.

Kinda a wierd truck to choose but it may be possible with some serious modding.

the only spool I know of is this center spool here:

THe only other way would be doing something similar they do with maxxs and use some JB weld.

There are very few available hopups right now so it'll be awhile. The front and rear of the Mlst will be great for a mini crawler as they are very similar to a maxx. Its just waiting for the front and rear spools or designing your own.
