Default What is the best ESC for a decent price?

I'll be using a 55t motor and 11.1V 3 cell 2200 mAh 30C lipos and possibly a 3racing winch.

Thanks in advance.

Castle Creations BEC is the popular choice.
It needs the Castle Link for custom programming - if you buy it from a vendor here (John Rob Holmes is a great one) they'll program it for a buck or two.

I was on a pretty tight budget building my 1st crawler and went with the castle creations sidewinder with castle link. Then picked up their BEC and thinks its pretty hot stuff for the money! The sidewinder and cc bec is programmable, has drag brake, brushed or brushless motor and has voltage cuttoff for up to 3s lipo bat just to name a few options.

Go with a castle esc and you'll be happy.
You could even check out there website CastleCreations.com for remanufactuered esc's for a lower price that are just as good as new ones.
