please... I need to know what to do. I have got the 9100t, I am just not fond of the red heat sink. Both the servos I can get for the same price. So I just need opinions. I searched and I found it is about 50 50... I dont like though that they say to program the hitec incase of overload.

I've been running a 9100T for over a year now. I've sent it in once for warranty work, but it turned out to be my BEC... and 4 or 5 more BEC's that I tried it with. If you don't like the red, take the servo apart so that it is only the aluminum case. Get some Easy Off oven cleaner with the yellow top, and using a pan that you don't care to bake in/use again, spray it and let it sit. You can polish up afterwards and it will shine like chrome. Use this thread as an example. Making the green go away - step by step de-anodizing an AX10 for beginners. |

well its not that I dont like the color, I just want to make a good choice... with my luck I will trade it for the Hitec and then something will go wrong with that one and the JR would have worked great haha. It is between the JR 9100T, JR 8711, Or the Hitec 9450... I like the JR 3 year warranty and how you can get more torque at less volts. What do you all think? I know I probly cant go wrong with either. What is the newer one of the bunch with JR the 9100 or the 8711? |

wait a little bit then get yourself the hitec 7990th, 639oz/in. @ 7.4 volts. That should do the trick for just about whatever you need. |

I honestly don't need that much right now... It is going in a scx10 scaler. Do you really need that much in one of those?

| i've got a 7955 in my scx and could probably get away with a 5645 at half the cost and about 60% of the stall torque. i don't think you really need to spend upwards of $140 for 400+ oz-in, but it's not my money. i have a jr9100t in a cr01 with as much lead stuffed in the front wheels as would fit and i have no complaints. i don't think you can go wrong with servos from either jr or hitec.

I think if you already have the jr9100t and your not fond of the red. I would just remove it. I mean its a perfectly capable servo and asking which one to get on the forum is like asking pepsi or coke. You will get 50/50 most of the time. But to be honest, if you already have the 9100t why buy another one when its a perfectly fine servo. save that 100+ bucks and buy something that you really need, not something you already have. Just my opinion.......but to answer your original question....all I run is JR so I choose the 9100t.

Both servos are great. Both companies are outstanding in their support. I like Hitec in the bang for your buck dept. If you already own a 9100T you just saved 100+ beans. Be happy...its a great servo. Now spray it OD black and go have fun! |
