Default End point adjustments

Ok so I really dont want to burn up my servo. What is the prober way to go about setting the EPA's for a crawler. I am using a DX3R if that helps.

i turn my servo to the lock position then turn down the travel till it backs off then turn it up just a bit so it holds tight to the max but not over powering it

Make sure your Dual Rate is set to maximum before adjusting your EPAs as the Dual Rate also limits your steering and can screw up your initial adjustments if you fiddle with the dual rate afterwards. Most people don't use the Dual Rate feature for crawlers, so this isn't a major issue.
