Wont the TLT rear lockouts work on the Hilift as well?

Idk if they will work and is there any mods that you have to do to make them fit? and would it make my axles wider?

Thanks

they will fit and wont change the width, but you will need to cut the knuckels off the plastic high-lift housings and trim some more plastic off in order to make these fit. Just like fitting them on TLT axles.

Thanks and I'm taking it that they don't make them for the highlift?

Default i had to mod my rc4wd tlt lockouts for my high lift

i know this is old but my title put it as is.

of course i had to grind down some plastic parts off my high lift axles to make the RC4WD BUT!!! i ended up having to grind down my dog bones and loose the rubber o-ring that goes into the knuckle to make it fit.

i was kinda disappointed by having to do this and it also narrowed my axles quite a bit when i compared to front (completely stock high lift axles) and the rear (RC4WD TLT straight axles lock out adapters)

now this is what i collected from the rc4wd axle lockouts, but rcp has one too, so im not sure if these are any better i know they're a little more expensive for the moment because the rc4wd one is on sale? anyone happen to know which is better while keeping the same axle length?

I used the RCP lockouts on my old Hilift axles and they work out fine.

RC4WD makes a specific straight axle for the HiLift axles, they are a tad bit wider than the TLT straight axles. This is how I modded my HiLifts.

yeah, they do make them, but i don't want to buy a whole new axle housing for my high lift. i just wanted to buy a lock out and go from there. according to rc4wd, there are no high lift axle rear lockout kits. there are only the TLT axle lockouts which are narrower then the high lift.

i had to mod mine to make it fit.

okay, thanks. so you didn't have to mod your RCP lockout at all? is this the tlt axle lockouts? rcp doesn't have any lockout's under the high lift category. in fact, there is only the ford f-350 high lift kit thats under that category.

is this right?

yes, i used tlt lock outs. i liked the RCP's cause they were round as opposed to square like the RC4WDs. nope, didn't have to touch the lock out. but with the lockout bolted to the axles there was a small gap between the lockout and axle end. this never affected performance.

*edit* the truck in my avatar was the one with the lock outs. track width was also fine.
