Default Need help identifying this Tranny...

I bought this used Axial and it has this funky transmission in it. I bolted up my 55t Axial and it barely fits within the chassis. I cannot find what this tranny is. Can you guy help

Looks like a Traxxas gearbox if you ask me. Probably out of a Stampede or Rustler.

Definately from a two wheel drive, possibly an older Traxxas Stampede, bandit ect. hard to tell due to the, up close, blurry pics.

Yeah, I just checked an exploded view of the stampede Tranny. That's what this is... WTF This is what I get for ebay.

Before the Axial came out the Stampede trans was probably the most popular tranny to be used in crawlers.

yup the minet i seen the first pic I knew it was a ped tranny, and indiana is rite, it was popular for building crawlers.

Have a pede tranny in the wifes rig..and in some cases it out performs my axial based scaler...

and anything can be modified to fit in a "axial" chassis. Try making a new skid plate out of a walmart chopping board, its 1/4" thick, white and to the rocks, slick as snot. can mount anything to it.

Traxxas calls that a 'Magnum 272' Tranny.
