Arrow Recommendations on a motor and ESC

So I need a little help!, I am at the tail end of building my crawler(creeper) whatever!
I need a good ESC motor combo. This will be used to bum around the house, climb over a rock or two, beat around the yard and wreak havoc on my cats!
I want some torque for playing around but I also want a little (not a lot) speed.
Any recommendations???
BTW this a Venom creeper J

what are you planning for batteries??? i myself run a 35 turn on 3s lipo, its quite fast for what it is, torque is very good. with re-gearing it it could be much faster. i also run a castle sidewinder esc, im very happy with it. this is however in an ax10. i would recommend it.

a mamba max is overkill for a crawler.

X2 but will need a castle link and ccbec. The fxr/35 combo is also good but ya will still need a ccbec. The holmes torquemaster is also great and ya won't need a ccbec but ya will need the castle link. I'd say either will be great, go with whichever ya can do cheaper. Now if ya want to go brushless, thats a whole different thing.

How are the 35 turn setups on 2c? I am looking to get the honcho and I already have some 2c lipos here. Not looking for tons of speed or anything.

I say hh torquemaster and 14t puller motor. Same price as 3s goat but IMO much better!

Does everyone think that you are putting in the combo with a 7700 or something. The mamba max is a great crawler esc,as is the Tekin,HH,ect. You have great setup options with incredible drag brake and hold.Yes please let us know what is overkill? :-P

As for the question above I think a Tekin FXR with a 45 turn and a Castle Creation Bec would be great for you on the 3s.Good wheel speed for Cat racing and still good crawling capabilitys.May have to play with gearing a little.

Default thanks

Thanks for all the input.
I went with the tekin FXR with 35T motor, BEC and 3S lipo. seems to be pretty strong!

Isn't overkill a prerequisite for getting into this hobby? I don't think crawlers would exist without overkill.

Crawlers without overkill.

Just my take on it.

Sweet!
Have you made it to a comp yet? I started last year and after going to a couple comps, I have met some great people. One of the best impulse purchases ever. LOL

If you wanna check a comp out there's one Saturday at the RoxBox right off Emerson on the south side, it's a huge warm building with great people and courses. They're also open every Wednesday and Friday 5-10 for practice, it's always alot of fun no matter when you go.

I live in Minooka IL. and was going to suggest he read the thread if he hasn't already.
The "ROX BOX 2.0" Indy's Premier 5,000 sq. ft. Indoor Crawling Facility
I have read it myself, even tho I have never been there. Might have to make a roadtrip when things warm up. It looks great!
