Cool newbie question.

ok i am a newbie (to crawlers anyway)
i just dont get something ,maybe someone could enlighten me.
why in the world would you want or need to run a lipo on a crawler?
1;dont you want wieght?e.i.. the strategically placed battery pack.
2;is there not plenty of run time and power out of nimh's?
3; is it not true that most crawler equipment is not designed to take the amperage that lipo's put out ?
thats all i can think of right now but i know there is more!!

1: you want weight, but you want it down low, it's hard to fit anything but LIPO esp at higher voltages.
2: Yes, but more is always better. Plus LIPO's run about the same in the first minute as the last.
3: I actually have a hard time finding LIPO's that can pass the amperage my rig requires in a decent size.
