Default loud noise on my ax10

hi i just got an ax10 scorpian and there is a loud noise sounds like the transmission.

describe the noise better. does it only do it when going forward? could be the gear mesh of the motor not line up right.

pinnoin could be too tight or the spur could be toasted if its a loud screeching noise check those two things first
look at the spur to see if there are rocks stuck in it or a tooth is missing or spun

If it's a click the setscrew in the pinion could be hitting the spur, I done that right out of the box.

take it apart and replace the broken parts......... an old man gave me that tip once.. works well

yes its only when i go forward and backwards

thats waht happened here i jsut got it out of the box not even 2 hours later

just set up a good gear mesh with the pinnion and spur and slide the pinnion back towards the motor so the set screw clears the spur,
check your spur too to see if the set screw munch any spur teeth

Try a different pinion. I've noticed mine is quite a bit noisier with a 14t pinion instead of my 18t.
