Default Axial shock pistons in big bore shock bodies

I have some emaxx shocks but I want more travel. Could I run my axial pistons in the emaxx to get the travel I want?

you won't gain any travel unless you change the shock body, no matter what piston/rod combo you put in there it can only travel as for as the body will allow.

Actually, the Ax10 stock piston shafts are about 3/16" longer than the E-MAXX so I gained that much more travel than the stock emaxx shocks. I agree that the ax10 bodies are longer and allow for even more travel. I was hoping to get a beefier shock that doesn't leak. We'll see how this works out.
