I would ditch that radio in favor of a 3 channel. More specifically, one that has a 3 position 3rd channel.

I've been looking at the KO Propo EX-5UR...has everything you need plus an additional reciever, which is a nice bonus. $180 @ RPP.

Everyone I've asked seems to really like them.

I just picked up some lipo's from www.valuehobby.com that were pretty reasonable considering they are shipped from the states and not overseas.

There are several great chargers available. My only advice would be to not go too cheap. Scan through the electronics section here and see what is being recommended.

well i am now part of the crawler culture, i was going to order the stuff but stopped at the lhs and they had a ax10 in stock so i got it all from there.
I can see why the rtr and artr are so popular, i spent 6hrs last night working on the kit, about half way there should have a runner by midnight tonight.

Good call. Always support your local hobby shop when you can.

Yeah i agree, if we do all our shopping on the net, then when we need a part right away, we will be out of luck.

heres what i got:

axial scx 10 kit
novak 55t and rooster esc
Hitec HS-5645MG (143.03 oz)
Futaba 3PM TX 2.4 ghz ss
Venom 7.2 nimh 4600 (yeah i know venom sucks but its all they carry)
Onyx 230

Got it running tonight had it out for 45min or so and the bat is still going strong!!

now i can tear it apart and make it better, the approch angle sucks and it gets high centered alot.
