Default internal spring shocks

whats the advantage of having internal springs rather than external springs?

x2, always better when your tires are rubbing on a smooth surface

plus my crawler sits a lot lower now with them

are the springs that come in the rc4wd ones stock pretty soft already. or would you suggest the softer springs... and do they also have oil in them?
