Question Shocks and Suspension

Ok, I know there are a bunch of different ways to set up the suspension. I was trying to get some opinions from the guys that have try'ed it all. My main 2 questions would be...How do you pick the size and kind of shock, and other then that perhaps some pro's and con's to the different kind of set ups like, one off, and droop and so on. I have searched and have found a lot of useful info, but most was just tid-bits here and there, no real definitive explanations. I have always ran the suspension stock and had no problems, but I am now building my first comp rig and know stock isn't gonna cut it. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

In my opinion I'd run regular sprung shocks with the basic susp setup. You need a good basic baseline to start with. If for your first build you do a droop setup you wouldn't know if it's really beneficial for you to run droop. Trial and error, their are so many variables you just have to start with a basic setup. Get a set of Losi 4inch crawler shocks and start with that. They are great shocks.
