| Polyoxymethylene (commonly referred to as POM and also known as polyacetal or polyformaldehyde) is an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts that require high stiffness, low friction and excellent dimensional stability. It is commonly known under DuPont's trade name Delrin |

Delrin is a type of plastic. An absolute dream to machine. Cuts like butter and has an awesome finish with the right tools, feeds and speeds. Works extremely well for skid plates and various little brackets we use of crawlers. It's light weight characteristics added with it's strength fit allot of applications we need in a crawler. Here's a few reads on delrin.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyoxymethylene_plastic http://www2.dupont.com/Plastics/en_U...in/Delrin.html http://plastics.dupont.com/plastics/...C_locale=en_US |
