Is it capable of handling 14.4 volts?

It tells you what it can handle right in your link. 8.4 volts max. So...No.

I raced my Slash on 3s (11.1v) for a full indoor season with a Titan 12t. It ran just fine. MOST silver can motors can run on 12v but I don't know about 14.4v.

Currently have one in my LCC and it works fine on 3s (knock on wood). I think the 21t can handle 14v

technically any rc motor can handle the 14v the question is how long. even motors rated to 12v wont last as long as on 7.2-8.4. heck i would try it with 14v they main thing is the brushes will wear out alot faster and it will get warmer so just monitor the temps a bit

Yeah ok. But I forgot that if I wire my batteries in parrallel that they will have the same voltage but twice the capacity of a single pack.

Yeah I'm gonna be running this motor in my axial so the 775 size motor would be way to big.

I'm getting a xl-5 waterproof esc and 12 turn titan motor.

Does any body know what the xl-5 can handle turn wise?

not sure what turn they can handle, but you will only get bout 30 charges through the motor whether you clean it or not... i recommend something that you can rebuild... but the motor will go and it always happened to me when i was nowhere near the lhs... no problems with esc though...

Crawler King, i have run an XL-5 with 12t titan motor 18/87 gear on my SCX10 for a while and it has never given me any trouble, it actually worked great, no glitching, heating etc., but I only run a 2s lipo in it, never run your XL-5 on 3s or more than 9.6v nimh or you will see the magic smoke.

Awsome thanks for your reply.

How is the torque on it? I assume it's pretty strong as I've heard people say it has stump pulling power but just want to make sure.

it's good enough for me, you can also lower your gearing say maybe to 14t or lower it will give you a bit more torque, but like i said it worked great when i had it, lots of mud slinging until I changed to 35t motor on 3s now where talking. Hopes this helps you out.

later.

How is the speed difference between the 12 turn titan and the 35 turn?
