| Very Dumb question.
I feel really stupid asking this question but here goes. Everyone is always saying make sure your loctite everything. SO I went to walmart to see what my options were knowing it was some kind of adhesive and all they had was super glue. Is that what i should be putting on everything? Superglue!? please be gentle lol. . . |

If im not mastaken loctitie is a "lubricant". Super glue is like welding, it bonds together.

Loctite everything? What are you building? Nylock nuts are a very good substitute for loctite. Wheel nuts are generally nylocks, and most trucks are built with them where needed. Some plastics do not like loctite, it makes them very brittle and can cause a failure. So be careful with it. I use loctite but only sparingly and where absolutely needed. Make sure you get blue loctite so you can still take your rig apart. Red loctite needs heat and airtools for disassembly. |

To answer your question, Loctite is a very light adhesive that you can put on screws to make sure they do not come out when you are driving the rig. They are especially important to use on set screws. It is definitely not superglue, but actually on the opposite end of the glue spectrum. It is also not a lubricant and would ruin your truck if used as such. |
