| Need a new ride
Ok, so I have a Traxxas Summit (modded for better crawling), a Losi Micro Crawler and I am ready to embark on a new ride to add to the fleet. I love crawling, don't think I will ever compete, but want something that is at least close to that potential. I like scale rigs, but don't want to get bored riding in circles, so it has to crawl better than my Summit. Plan to spend less than $500. You are in my shoes now, what would you get? |

I agree that the R1 is nice. It is a very capable crawler-rock racer. And it will for sure outperform the summit in every way (other than hi-speed depending on the motor). Now for what concerns scalers, don't think them as boaring. I have competition crawlres and scale and I like my scale crawlers evern more than my comp. Why?? Well the scale crawler can crawl very good indeed and it is also a nice thing to upgrade with all the scale accessorys... The only bad thing about a scaler is that sometimes it looks so good you don't want to use it to avoid eventual scratches or damage. |

You know, the R1 was actually a vehicle I have been closely eye-balling. Unfortunately, I have not purchased/built a kit yet so I am not sure how much money I will dump to get it finished. Recommendations on what to juice it with?
