| Crawler Poll
I am something of a newbie (1 year in) and while all of your posts are extremely useful, they are sometimes too techy for me and I welcome the simplified but valued opinions. So, I am buying a crawler to add to my small fleet. I don't compete (but I would like something nearly capable enough), prefer crawling to bashing and I already have a Summit for bashing. So... Please rank the following vehicles on from 1-10 (10 being the best) in each category. I know it all depends on electronics, so comments or qualifications are encouraged. Also, feel free to add others to the list. CRAWLERS GMade R1 Climbing: Off-Camber: Articulation: Overall Crawl Capability: Durability: Best use: AXIAL XR-10 (I know it isn't out yet, but give it a guess) Climbing: Off-Camber: Articulation: Overall Crawl Capability: Durability: Best use: LOSI Nightcrawler RTR Climbing: Off-Camber: Articulation: Overall Crawl Capability: Durability: Best use: LOSI Comp Crawler Climbing: Off-Camber: Articulation: Overall Crawl Capability: Durability: Best use: SCALE Axial Honcho TR Climbing: Off-Camber: Articulation: Overall Crawl Capability: Durability: Best use: Axial Dingo TR Climbing: Off-Camber: Articulation: Overall Crawl Capability: Durability: Best use: |

LCC- it does well on just about everything, I love it but it does take a bit to get used to the worms, and its a little more as you have to buy brushless and 3ch The ax-10 is ok but not real comp worthy, just kind of a weekend crawler The scx-10 Honcho is awesome crawls great for a scaler and is tons of fun |

Thanks! Why does the LCC require brushless and 3ch?

Box stock it sucks, but if you do the right mods, and drive right, you can be very competitive. If you want to Comp, Go MOA, don't waste your time on a shaft crawler.

| Well let me start by saying you should really make a poll thread, It's not so hard just have to read a bit on "how to do it". Second GET THEM ALL... The R1 is a superbly looking crawler, it performs very good and is not so expensive to have it running. The XR-10 is the only moa in the list so it is just a class of it's own... knowing axial, it will perform as a champ. The LNC and LCC are both very good, BUT, unless you are willing to spend a lot $ the LCC is out of the quesiton because it demands 1st grade electronics and upgrades. On the scale side the HONCHO is top noch, it looks and performes like a champ. Very little to upgrade. |

I thought about setting up the actual poll. But I am knee deep in learning Joomla to develop a website for my brother and have had about all the tech reading I can stand. Thanks for the suggestion though. I love the XR-10, just deciding whether to wait on it or not. The LNC looks nice and appears to crawl very well. However, you are the 2nd person that has alluded (sp?) to the fact that it and the LCC need expensive electronics. What I would love is to drive the Honcho, R1, Nightcrawler or others, but my LHS' don't have any unboxed to play with. May have to reach out to others in the NC crawler community. Thanks to everybody for your input and please keep it coming, I have about a month before I pull the trigger.
