Default Stupid Battery Question for SCX-10

Hello, I am probably going to get a Honcho TR kit so I can use it right away and then upgrade/replace as I go....I have been trying to find out what battery's to use with it before I get the kit. It says 7.2, but could I use the battery packs (stock) that are with my boys 1/16 E-Revo or Slash 2? I know I will have to change the connector to the Traxxas one on the Honcho, but other then that which battery should I use. Eventually I think I will end up with LIPO's, but not at this point...

Thanks!

E-Revo is a 7.2 Series 1 Powercell. According to Traxxes these are the specs "Series 1 Power Cell, 1200mAh (NiMH, 6-C flat, 7.2V, 2/3A)" The Slash is a 5000MAH, but doesn't say volts, but is a NiMH 6 cell. The other Slash battery is a 8.4 volt 7 cell 3000MAH pack.

When I got mine (AX10RTR) I ordered everythin from www.ckrccrawlers.com they're not that pricey and they got a few 7.2v batteries to choose from. I ordered a Venom 7.2v 3600MaH it was like thirty bux, and it last like 30-45mins, depends how throttle happu u are Hope this helps

I would go with the slash batteries. Both are good for the honcho with a preference to the 7cell 3000mah NiMh. It will give you slightly more wheelspeed than the 6cell which is nice in a scaler.
