| Help With Body Question Please?
Also had another question regarding body change outs - since I have the Tamiya 1/10 Landcruiser - will any of the pro-line bodies work on this? Do I just figuer out where to punch the holes so that it will fit - or are there better instructions I should follow. Thanks for any help you can give! |

Yes, the Pro-line bodies will fit. You will just have to drill the holes for the body post.

If you can, do the holes before painting. And you might mock up the body on the chassis before you do the holes and see how it's going to sit relative to your setup - tire, servo, battery clearance, &c. If you're using drill bits, go slow and start small. I don't have one, but a lexan body reamer would be even better, probably. | |

Make sure the bodies you are looking at have the same wheel base . When you get ready to mount the body place it over the truck just where you want it and make small marks with a marker directly over the mounts . If you get a painted body just tape sewing needles to the mounts and lower the body over and use a rag or something (so you dont prick your finger )to press it down on the needles marking the mount holes . Thats how I do it . Just remember to make the holes about 1/8'' from the needle hole and tape all the needles on the same side of each post . Example all the needles should be on the forward side of the post and the holes will be made 1/8'' to the rear of the needle marks . Or you can measure it off . |

Guys - thanks so much for the replies - I totally appreciate it! This last post in fact answered my one last question - and that was how do you get your body just right - to sit on your crawler! Great stuff and thanks again! |

| You move it around untill all the wheel wells line up good and its in the center of the chassis, hint marking where the body post holes should be, then raise and lower the posts until it sits level
