Default axial tranni output

im not familiar with the axial tranni but i tried one in my scaler, my rear driveshaft is plastic and has plastic yokes, everytime i try to put the driveshaft set screw on the tranni output shaft it just slides off after maybe 2 minutes of abuse. what has i do to make this set screw hold better? thanks -C

Are you making sure you are putting it on the flat spot on the output shaft? One thing I did was drill through the output shaft and put a longer set screw in it.

Your issue are the plastic yokes and not the output of the transmission.
The platic yokes generally do not hold set screws very well. You need to drill the outputs and use screw pins or go with metal outputs alltogether.

Best bet is to just go with metal yokes anyway. That way you can locktite them and they won't go anywhere.

x2 This is definitely your best bet.

Only other option is to grind another flat spot 180 deg from the existing one and use an additional set screw
