Default so i cracked all my wheels

i have an ax10 and i cracked all my wheels they keep expanding and the nut spins inside the wheel.

i am alittle strapped for cash i have done some research and seeing that aluminum wheels are the way to go. most of the wheels i saw were around $100 give or take. what are the entry line of aluminum wheels and what are the choices? i was running the axial rockstars with 14oz of lead in the front and 6 oz of lead in the rear with the hb rovers soft

Did you strip the wheel hex on the wheel or did you strip the hex on the axle? Do you have aluminum hex's on the axle or plastic? There are so many choices for aluminum wheels out there! Vanquish makes some killer wheels! Eritex makes killer stuff! Look in the wheel and tire forum and look in the vendor forum

A cheap and temp fix is to glue the plastic hex into the rim.

Or : JConcepts Tense 2.2 rock crawler wheels - (Black w/ bead locks) (4)

$100 give-or-take seems to be fairly standard for aluminum wheels (or machined delrin wheels for that matter).

You really can't go wrong with any of the vendors on here though. Just be sure to post pics once you get 'em

The plastic wheels are fine if you don't have the cash for aluminum wheels. The trick to it is making sure your wheel nuts are tight before each run...

However, if you are shopping for aluminum wheels, might I suggest buying a star and looking in the 'For Sale' section. It is not uncommon to see aluminum wheels there and you'll likely save a lot more than the cost of the star.

A number of the vendors have the Berg Aluminum wheels available. They're the correct offset for an AX10 and they're $44 for a set of 4. Not the prettiest but they're strong enough.

I bought Wheel Works M887's. They have different offsets, look killer, and not bad price. $105 shipped. Check them out!

Incorrect. You have 19 more posts to go, and you must be a member for 30 days or more.

Your post count on the side isn't a countdown.....

I have the Mayhem Engineering Double Phattys. I love these things. Dan is awesome. He rushed out my wheels with a temporary set of delrin rings when my engraved aluminum ones were not ready. He did this so I could make it to my first comp all free of charge. The wheels are very versatile and tough.
