Question brushless motor question

Well ive been looking for a good brushless motor for a scale scx10. I understand the turns rate for motor speed(21.5 turns), but when i see stuff like 5700kv or 7600kv Motor, I dont know what this = in turns. can some one help me?

Well, most sensored systems are rated in turns, and most sensorless systems are rated in KV. It's actually pretty difficult to find out the KV of a sensored motor- I had to call Tekin to get that info. The sensored systems are going to be smoother on the low end. I'd suggest you put a Tekin 21.5 or 17.5 system in your SCX10, or perhaps a Novak Goat 3S in the 21.5 or 18.5. Depending on your battery, you'll have TONS of wheelspeed and oodles of torque...

Hope that helps!

In kv's it would be anywhere between 1300kv to 1700kv. 7600kv is close to 5.5 turn motor. 1300kv would be 21.5turn and 1700kv would 18.5turn

OK cause i have a momba max esc and a 7300kv motor im getting from a friend. but sounds like ill be getting a different motor..4.5 or 5.5 is way too fast for what i need. Ill try and find a 18.5t for the project. thanks guys
