Default Tire flattened out - how to fix?

Hello all,

on one of my older RC trucks the tire has flattened out (there was no foam in the tire and the truck was sitting on a shelf on its own tires). So now when I drive it, the tire is not complete round but has a flat spot. Is there a fix for this? Or do I need new tires?

Please advise!

Thank you.

if the tire isn't dry rotted you can try using a hair dryer to soften up the rubber. if they are dry rotted then just get new ones. also, are the rims vented? if not add 2 or 3 1/8 holes to the inside of each wheel.

you could try all the above plus run a firmish foam inside the rim to help keep the round shape and store the rig with all 4 wheels off the ground to help prevent it again

Hopefully that work's out for you...... What I usually do I store my R/C with a popcan under it so that its off the ground

Turn the tire inside-out and heat it with a hair dryer, then let it cool before you turn it back and re-install on the rim.

just had this issue with a car i bought off a guy here this is a great way to find dry rot and able to recover hair dryer then touched the cracks with some CA tire glue and worked them in after it dried with more heat then put 2.2 rc4wd hard foam in it "its a 1.7" so it made it hold its shape when put back onto the rim.

x2 on the turning it inside out and using a hair dryer but if your really in a dyer need of wanting to reuse the tires then do that and put some foam inside the tire.
