Default Gravel Pit

I am wondering if anyone has done any crawling at a Gravel Pit? I am moving back home soon to take over the family pit and just wondered if getting a crawler would work very well out there. Its mostly sand dunes but the cliffs around the water are 30 to 40 feet high with huge washouts that I think would be pretty sweet to crawl. Just not sure how well it would work cuz its loose sand and gravel every where not rock. Any info would be helpful or if anyone has seen video of this type of crawling and could send me a link.

It seems to me like that would be a good area to crawl. It appears from your post that you are one of the owners, and you could probably get someone to clear an area and expose some rock pretty quickly in a dozer. I say: go for it!

The terrain sounds more suited to an formula off-road type RIG. http://tinyurl.com/37dy64c

I crawl in a gravel pit . Here we have clay and gravel mixed so its kind of packed . Some areas are more suited for rock racers and some for scalers . Gravel pits are nice places to crawl because they offer so much . The only problem is they dont generally have large rock walls . Start gathering the larger rocks that are occasionally unearthed . This will allow for a little more fun . If you have sand and rocks mixed then look into a rock racer .
