| Komodo Rocker Crawler
Does anyone run this crawler? I do not see any threads on this kit. Does anyone have any Opinions on this kit - pros or cons? Thanks! |

If you search around on the net for a review there are a couple of them. Found one last night and the biggest thing the guy pointed out was you get what you pay for... It's modeled after the 600 dollar kits from rc4wd...but it's 310...ish. So there is some difference between the quality of some parts. |

| Re: Komodo Rocker Crawler
i traded a t maxx that i found in the trash for mine so i didn't pay anything for it. the guy i got it from ran it indoors for a few days and didn't like it so it was brand new when i got it pros are that its all aluminum with the exception of the axles, the cases are pot metal , and the trans is from an AX-10 and you can get a dig unit for it it also has good bead locks mine are completely waterproof The cons are its way too tall and top heavy for real crawling, the shocks are always leaking due to poor machining (i'm planning on making new ones and will post about it when i do) , the pot metal axles take a beating quick so i would suggest some homemade skid plates ant the turning radius is bad (i'm working on this problem now) in my opnion its a good place to start if you don't mind working at things to get them right. but i wouldn't pay $300 for it, it's more like a $199 on special type of rig i'm a noob on here but i have been a mechanic/ fabricator for 18yrs and i have built every kind of performance vehicle but if you guys want to add pros and cons i would love to hear about them! Zorbop OUT! |
