| Xr-10 or enroute berg
I've read a ton of posts and want to build a comp crawler. I havnt had Rc trucks for a while and just got back into them. So I bought a stampede 4x4 and a used axial scx10 truck. Both are great but I want a true crawler. I was thinking a moa type so the xr10 and berg are where I'm leaning towards. Where I get stuck is in the type of electronics. I like that both the trucks I have now are waterprof. If I go with 2 motors I was looking at the esc novak m2 dig and motor combo. Can you use a good traxxas brushless system that is for 1 motor on a 2 motor system. Do the majority of rock crawlers even waterprof there systems? Any help or ideas for a great comp crawler would be great. Thanks Gerry

If you got a Axial scx10, you might as well get the XR10. Keep it all Axial |

When I was in the market for a new crawler I was pretty much set on the losi comp crawler but got turned off after hearing that a brushless system is recommended. I wanted to stick with brushed. and besides, MOA is the way to go xr10 baby

The losi wasn't one on my list until I spoke with one of the guys at the lhs. I like the Xr-10 and after I sell off some heli stuff and the holidays pass I'll pick one up. I like the idea of brushless so I'll be looking to put that in the losi and if I like it put it in a Xr. I'm new to crawlers so it's all in good fun and hopefully i find some local comps to compete at.

Besides, we tried a sportsman class, no one liked it...so we dont have one anymore. Check out the TXRCO forum for a current schedule of comps... | |
