Default Beginner advice- whats a good place to start?

I want to build my first crawler and i need some suggestions, first any suggestions on a good kit/ list of parts i should buy. I want to be able to upgrade a lot of it over time. I know i want it all metal, no plastic, and i definitely want to go electric. I'll probably spend a lot of money on a brushless motor. I am looking for advice on what frame to get, what shocks and Axels and tires etc... In other words, where is the best place to start for someone who wants to end up with a nice looking fast crawler. I thiking id like to build a 1/10 or 1/8 size. Im wiling to spend 200 not counting the motor to start off with. Remember: Helping a Newb a day keeps the doctor away.
