Default how do you charge your batteries when your out crawling?

Well I'm trying to come up with a good way to charge my lipos when I'm out a ways away from any kind of outlet. Let me know how you guys do it when your out at a remote crawling spot.

i got a charger that has gator clips so i can hook it up to a 1:1 battery. plus i can plus it into the wall when at home. charger is about 60 bucks, but its worth it, it will also shut itself off when your battery is done charging.

just looked at it and its a MRC Super Brain 819, also has auto trickle charge.

Yeah I have a charger that will do the same but if I'm a mile or two out away from my car I don't want to have to walk back and fourth every time I need a charge... call me lazy lol. So do you just bring an extra car battery with you? Thats what I was thinking about doing.

X2 just run it off your 1:1 battery if you have AC/DC alligator clips...usually where we comp we try to stay as close to our vehicles as possible. Or you could always pick up a few extra batteries just in case.

A single comp for us I use up about 2600 mah 3S tops on my comp rig. And that's about 4-6 hours of crawling.

For scalers I never run out of juice even at 1300 mah 3S lipos.

Buy more lipos or larger mah lipos. Not trying to be a smart a$$, but lipos are pretty cheap nowadays. I can get close to 30 mins out of an 850mah on an MOA.

at the risk of sounding like a dumb ass, I'm new to the hobby but what does MOA mean? I have two lipos as of right now a 1650 mah and an 1100 mah

a 12v small battery used for scooters and motorcycles would be enough ..... just enough to place it in your back pack and set-up a small charging station when your up on the rocks

Just buy more lipo's, you will get sick of lugging a battery around.

Hobbytown Concord has a lot in stock.

Well I would like to update this thread since I have an answer. I went to auto zone today before we went crawling and I picked up a small battery for a lawn mower it's 12v and it worked perfect all day. We had two chargers hooked up to it and the thing performed flawlessly. The battery is small and compact and the best thing was it was only 26 bucks out the door.

I built a charger box that holds a 12v seadoo battery and my charger... we usually have 3 or more chargers hooked to it... this is just when its not practical to charge from our vehicles.

1-Take extra battery packs...fully charged
2-If need be, get a 12VDC 7AH (or larger) Gel Cell battery. You don't have to worry about it spilling if tipped over and is "fairly" small. You can get them from WWGraingers, Radio Shack, Tower Hobbies, etc.
