| any better ideas for a scx10 kit??
im going to run these electronics in my scx10 trail honcho kit. if u have any better ideas let me know. for a esc i'm going to do a traxxas waterproof xl-5 and for a motor i'm going to do a novak 55t crawler motor brushed for a servo ill run a traxxas 2075 (waterproof) if you hadn't noticed i'm trying to make it as waterproof as possible and i'm still trying to decide on a battery and remote for a battery im thinking lipo but not to expensive my budget is to spend under $250 dollars on electronics. thanks for the help |

the esc is ok for bashing around but lipo batteries shouldnt be used on it since it doesnt have lipo cutoff so if you want lipo i would run a cc sidewinder which are almost waterproof just wrap them up to be safe. the motor i would look at a lower turn motor than 55t more like a 35t or even 27t. the servo is ok till you start breaking the plastic gears left and right so i would suggest a hitec 645mg to keep it cheap and ive never had a problem running mine underwater. for a ok radio that is 2.4g look at hobbypartz.com at their 2 and 3 channel radios and if you go lipo they have a decent selection there.

X2 on the 645mg great servo for the price, submerged mine many times Don't waste $ on the Traxxas servo get a 645 or even a 5645, better servo, more torque, metal gears, watertight case (not waterproof) Last edited by R/CMaxximus5.0; 01-22-2011 at 04:40 PM. | |

ik you guys are going to get mad because im not very experienced and im asking dumb questions but if i had a lower turn motor what would it compromise? haha nvm i just looked it up but just to double check .... the lower the turn the faster it spins the more the turn the slower it spins and the higher the torque :P
