Default what is a drag break and dead band

hi just got myself new esc and i can change the drag break and the dead band but i donot know what they do can anyone help. Thanks

drag break is the term used for brakes on a electric motor. I believe dead band is the amount of play in the trigger before the ESC sends power to the motor.

Yep. Dead band is the "dead" zone at neutral. Drag brake is the natural braking at neutral, it generally uses the battery as a regenerative load to slow down the motor.
