Default which tranny?

Hey guys,

Well i just picked up a TLT and its pretty cool but i wanna get rid of this belt drive! There are soo many diffrent tranny's i'm so lost in which i want to replace it with. Which would be good to work with my TLT's stock chassis.

Oh i also want to get rid of the cantilver type suspension.

Personally, i would recommend buying a new chassis and running a stampede tranny. With a new chassis you will gain a lot more ground clearance and much more adjustability. It will bring a totally different view to your TLT and crawling experience.

no tranny wit bolt into a stock tlt. you could cut the chassis and run a pede tranny( most common) or a stealth or losi tranny. If you tell us your plans we could give you better info.

I'm a big fan of the Associated Stealth trannies. I put one in a stock TLT chassis with only minor modifications and it works perfectly.

Here's a link to the thread if you want to see more pics....

I used a pede tranny in my stock chassis. I had to turn the chassis plates around so that the inside faced outwards then just cut out what I needed too and drilled holes to mount. I know what you mean about budget. That's what I was going for but already have at least 300 in it. At first I told myself I was never going to get into crawling a lot because I don't have a lot of money. I'm not trying to sell my Nitro to fund my crawler
