You can get new outputs. Skip the stock replacements and go with some steel units.

Here's what I'm using...

Yup. Open the case, pull the bearings off of the old outputs/gear, put them on the new one, put a little grease on the gears, then put it back together.

Pretty much, just take the tranny apart and install the new gear.

FWIW I run the same gear.

You have to take the transmission apart. There is no other way.

I use reverse osmosis actually. Just put the new gear next to the case and it will put itself in if you wait long enough and put enough beer next to the crawler.

Ah...thats where I was screwing up. I drank the beer, not offered it as sacrifice/bribe/motivation to the rig itself.

He's probably just intimidated... scared to make it worse?

keystone, do you have the instruction manual?
There's exploded views of the tranny in there, it's actually really easy to rebuild it.

yeah in this hobby you need to learn how to build and re-build your tranny, axles and what not otherwise you'll be spending a whole lot of money replacing the whole thing everytime something breaks

If you don't run it in water, maybe once or twice a year.

What kind of shock oil, or what weight?

All shock oil is essentially the same. The weight is up to you. Search around and see what others are using in rigs comparable to yours.
