Exclamation Scx10 gearing advice

Just went up from a 14t to a 20t pinion on a 87t spur...

Running a tekin 35t on 3s...

Will i be o.k running this setup?

it will operate if that is what you are asking. the thing is the larger the pinion the faster the wheels will spin. It all depends on what you are trying to do. if you are comp crawling you probably want to stick to the 14t. but if you are just playing around like backyard bashing or something you will be fine. I personally like a lot of wheel speed. at our local course we have a hill climb that you need all the speed you can get. and with a 3s lipo you should have quite a bit of wheel speed. I run the 14t setup and I just switched to lipo. I am going to run 2 3s lipos in series and I should have crazy wheel speed. but I am still waiting on one more battery to come in the mail. with just one 3s lipo I can see the difference from my old 6 cell NiMH.

I went with a 18t..the 20t made everything a little too warm for my likes!!
