I have a rock crawler it has rock buster axles and intccy (not sure) motors should i go with a 9 toothed pinion front and rear or better yet how do i tell what size tooth to go with? I also just got a 3300 NiHM battery and i have 7.2v NICD and cx-15 ac/dc fast charger with meter from pirahana and i dont know if i should use either charger on this battery or return it for one that i know is compatible. |

I think you mean Clod Buster axles. A 9 tooth pinion sounds good, but I have no idea what kind of motor you're talking about. Timer chargers were fine in 1985. It's 2006 now, get yourself a peak charger. Your batteries will thank you. This really belongs in Newbie General. |

As far as motors it sounds like you have some integy lathes, probably 55 turn? you might want to run 7 cells to get a little bit more wheel speed. 3300 nimh will offer you LOTS of run time but make sure your charger is compatable with nimh packs otherwise you could damage them. I recommend the LRP Pulsar 2 and Duratrax Ice for dc chargers, you will need a power supply. If you want a good ac/dc charger go with an integy 16x4 or something similiar, I have one of those and its great and simple to use. Mike | |
