Default Pinion for 35t Motor

I was thinking of changing out my Axial 27T in favour of a Tekin 35T motor. Would the stock pinion I have on the 27T be a good match for the 35T? If not what pinion would you guys recommend? I am running the newer stock Axial ESC with drag brake and 2S 40C 4000 LiPo's. This is also on an Axial SCX-10 Honcho. Thanks in advance.

I ran a 14t pinion in my SCX10, and a 35t integy motor, with good luck.

Pinions are inexpensive and worth the experimenting. I like to start small and work my way up..

Thanks for the reply. Were you running it on 2S or 3S?

I would suggest start at stock gearing and then gear to heat. As long as you keep you motor temps under 70*c, it will be fine..
