most of the guys here just build their own (including myself) because a store bought bender wont get you a tight enough bend like a shock hoop or something. i know canadian tire sells benders, but havent really looked around to much on the web for benders.

I found one here: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/search.php Seriously though you can find vendors that make some on this site, as well as links to others, and reviews. Search in the tools section. |

Look through the Tools and Procedures section. Do a search for Bender or tubing and you'll find a bunch of answers.

| Mcmaster sells the one below. I used it to bend my links for my super 5/16 aluminum and I used it to bend the Ti rods for my 2.2. Pretty easy to use. You need a vise to put it in of course. Hope this helps. http://www.mcmaster.com/#benders/=c9ips7 Part # 2460A16 Opps didn't notice you already posted this. Well great minds think a like. Last edited by RCROCIN'; 05-11-2011 at 06:05 PM. |

Home depot sells them for about $20. They work fine, hand benders is all they are though, but that's about all you really need for rc stuff. |

Mcmaster.com has them down to 1/4" (2420A11) but I've seen them in auto parts stores for 3/16" Bundy tubing. It's just a tightly wound coil spring that slips over the tube and keeps it from crimping as you form what you want with your fingers. | |
